With this Video we present “Top 7 Most Innovative Mechanical Projects of 2018”. This compilation of 7 projects are composed of unique design and approach to resolve the problems of Cutting, Drilling, Lathe, Power Generation and Lifting.

Project 7 – Design & Fabrication on Mini Lathe Machine

Lathes have been used on woodworking, metal parts and also on plastic nylon parts for a long time in the industry. So here we study the design and fabrication of a mini lathe machine. This machine consists of a motor with belt arrangement used to drive the lathe chuck. The machine consists of a bed with a movable arrangement. It consists of a holder in order to hold the desired tool in desired position.

Project 6 – Automated Double Hacksaw Project

We need more and more automated system to make human tasks faster and easier. So here we automate another strenuous work of hacksaw cutting. Human hacksaw cutting is very strenuous and requires a lot of effort. This is not feasible large scale and accurate cutting. So our proposed system automates the hacksaw cutting with double sided technique where we operate 2 hacksaws using a single mechanism. Here a motor is used with the shaft attached.

Project 5 – 360 Degree Flexible Drilling Machine

Drill machines have been the heart of every industry. Drilling holes on parts, sheets and structures is a regular industrial work. Perfect and well aligned drilling needs fixed and strong drills. Some parts cannot be drilled using fixed drills due to low space between drill bit and drill bed. We need to use hand drills in such cases but hand drills have alignment problems while drilling.

Project 4 – Automatic Paper Cutting Machine Using Geneva Mechanism

Here we propose the design and fabrication of a fully automated paper cutter based on geneva mechanism. Our proposed system cuts paper pieces of equal lengths based on geneva mechanism. This mechanism ensures paper feed of equal length inserted at proper time intervals. System uses a 12V motor in order to drive the entire system. We use a shaft which is directly connected to the motor. This shaft has a connecting rod which is connected to a scissor in order to drive the cutting mechanism for cutting paper.

Projects 3 – E Skateboard With Pressure Sensing

The generation of E Skateboards is here where people just need to lean on the Skateboard and the motorized board moves along. Our proposed system is a skateboard that integrates the power of electric motors with the comfort of a skateboard.
This makes daily commute easy and effective that is easy to use, does not get stuck in traffic and has no parking issues. The board is fitted with motorized wheels fixed with a belt pulley arrangement powered by an electric motor. The motor is driven by a high capacity light weight battery mounted under the board.

Project 2 – Design & Fabrication Of Mechanical Footstep Power Generator

Here we propose the design and fabrication of a footstep power generator system. Apart from solar and wind energy systems which rely on external factors like rain and sun, footstep power generator does not rely on any such factors and is a source of renewable energy free of cost and generated through human motion. This system can prove very effective in crowded public places like railway stations as a source to generate renewable power free of cost. Multiple footstep power generators at such places can be used to increase the yield of power generated.

Project 1 – Two Wheel Drive Forklift For Industry Warehouses

Industries and Storage godowns needs forklifts and cranes for moving large goods for storage and logistic purpose. These goods may weight from 40-60 kgs, which cannot be moved around by human labor.
Here a two wheel drive forklift is proposed to lift and transport such medium weight goods across factories and industrial warehouses. This system is fast, efficient and consumes less power. It also
