The APhO 2018 logo is inspired by the magnet, which is a symbol of Physics. The links among 5 magnets represent a blossomed lotus flower – the National Flower of Vietnam – which symbolizes the Vietnamese culture, tourism, and people. The links also refer to the connection, solidarity, and friendship among all participant countries.
Each magnet points in different directions, meaning the spread and movement of APhO 2018. The V-shape of the magnets stands for Vietnam and “Victory” for the students. The yellow star which is put in the logo’s center refers to the flag of Vietnam – the host country of APhO 2018.
