What is a Real Number?

Real Numbers Definition
The combination of both rational numbers and irrational numbers represents real numbers and it can be represented on the number line. Real numbers are usually denoted by the symbol “R”.
It includes fractions, integers, natural numbers, whole numbers, and decimals.

What is a Fraction?
The equivalent fractions are a type of fraction that seems to be different but they are equivalent in nature. Equivalent refers to being equal in value, function, amount or meaning and such things.

What is the Decimal Number?

The decimal number system is also known as base 10 since it has ten as its base. Decimal notation relates to the base 10 positional notation such as the Hindu-Arabic numeral system. The decimal number system contains a decimal point.

What is Decimal?

A decimal is defined as a number expressed in decimal notation and generally applied to values that have a fractional part and separated from the integer side by a decimal separator.

Decimal Number System

In the decimal number system, the decimal can be a terminating one that has a finite fractional value(e.g. 12.500), a repeating decimal that has a non-terminating fractional value consisting of repeating stream of digits(e.g. Value of pi).
Decimal fractions have terminating decimal expansion, whereas irrational numbers consist of infinite non-repeating decimal expansion.
