Math Teacher Recounts Being Held Captive With Her Daughter

Mary Stauffer is talking about the 53 harrowing days she and her daughter were held captive by crazed kidnapper Ming Sen Shiue. The Minnesota high school math teacher was with her 8-year-old daughter, Beth, when she was kidnapped at gunpoint outside a beauty salon. Mary and Beth were kept chained up inside a closet in the kidnapper’s home. She had been the kidnapper’s ninth-grade math teacher. Now, her brave escape is the subject of a new Lifetime movie, “Abducted: The Mary Stauffer Story.”
