‘Believe in yourself and go live your dreams’, isn’t that something we all wanted to hear in our childhood. Aryan Mishra is an example of the teenage boy who lived by these words. His beginnings were not the easiest and will give you all the motivation to chase your dreams- Aryan bought his first telescope by skipping canteen meals and walking to school when he was just 11. He kept his passion hidden from his parents, and woke up every day at 4, observing the night sky with his telescope. From a slum in Delhi, being a newspaper vendor’s son, to discovering an asteroid, this teen prodigy is inspiring people across the world. And one thing that always keeps him motivated he says- ‘until I win’.
Aryan Mishra is an 18-year-old astronomer, teen prodigy, son of a newspaper seller, and student from New Delhi. At the young age of 14, this passionate space enthusiast discovered a near-Earth asteroid in a nation-wide search campaign (All India Asteroid Search Campaign). His discovery has been designated as 2014 00372 and is soon to be made a part of the world’s minor body catalog maintained by the International Astronomical Union in Paris. From being able to give lectures alongside former NASA Astronaut Nicole Stott (the first human to paint in space), Aryan is also sharing his knowledge on astronomy with thousands across the globe through Skype.
