This video explains every Warhammer Titan in the Attack on Titan anime and manga. The Warhammer Titan is one of 9 titan shifters in AOT and there have been several iterations of it throughout the series. In the AOT manga we have currently seen more warhammer titans than in the anime, which has only had 2 Warhammer Titans so far (Lara Tybur & Eren Yaeger). The manga displays Warhammer Titans of the past, some of which have interesting designs. This video will explain the backstory of all Warhammer Titans (that we know of) and also commentate on the designs of the ancient titans.

In this video I’m gonna explain every Warhammer Titan in the history of attack on titan, ranging from nearly 2000 years ago all the way up till the present day of the series. The Warhammer has the unique ability to create anything it wants with titan hardening, as well as being able to remotely control the titan from inside a crystal. It’s flesh is usually covered in a white shell made from titan hardening.
The first warhammer titan on this list is Lara Tybur, who was a member of the prestigious Tybur family. For at least a few hundred years, the Tybur family had exclusive possession of the warhammer titan, with Lara being the final one of them to have it. Since the events of the great titan war, the Tybur family secretly ruled over Marley, with Willy Tybur being the leader of their clan. As time progressed we got a small hint that Lara Tybur might be important, as she was the only family member that Willy decided to bring to his declaration of war against Paradis.
Lara’s warhammer titan had a thin shell of hardening covering it’s body, but it’s eyes and mouth were visible thanks to the striped design in those areas. Pieck stated that the Tybur’s never used their titan against an enemy nation, meaning that Lara’s battle with Eren was the first ever real fight she had with this thing. That makes it even more impressive that she was able to create so many items, including a warhammer titan crossbow.
The next Warhammer titan on this list is none other than Eren Yaeger, who mercilessly stole the power after using Porco as a nutcracker titan.
Unlike his predecessor, Eren does not come from a noble bloodline and was just a kid born within the walls on Paradis island. When he was 10 years old, the warriors of Marley launched their assault on Paraids by destroying wall Maria, with Eren’s mother being eaten in the process. On that same day, Eren’s father Grisha used the power of his Attack Titan to steal the founding titan from the royal family. With the power of two titans, Grisha would then give these abilities to his son, with Eren not realising he was a titan shifter until years later. At 19 years old, Eren infiltrated Marley by himself, going undercover as a wounded soldier. His primary goal was to collect his half-brother Zeke and bring him back to Paradis island, but along the way he would do to Marley what was done to his homeland as a child. Eren would kill Willy Tybur, Marlyean military generals, world leaders, innocent citizens of Liberio and last but not least, Lara Tybur. Eren would use the biting strength of Porco’s jaw titan to crush the crystal that lara tybur was in, drinking the contents of her spine and inheriting the warhammer titan.
Eren’s warhammer titan looks exactly the same as his regular titan form.
Even without the typical warhammer titan look, eren was very proficient with this power, as he created massive spikes out the ground that even pierced through the armoured titan. This however was not even the first time he used the power, as in the chapter ‘Guides’, Eren broke himself out of his underground before sealing the escape route so no one could follow him.
As far as Warhammer’s go there has probably never been one as fearsome as Eren Jaeger.
