Absorption and Action Spectra of chlorophyll a when compared on the same graph.
From the graph in the video;
Observations:
1. There is a close correspondence ( a direct relationship) between the two spectra, that is to say, they follow the same trend.
Explanation: This indicates that indeed the light absorbed is used to stimulate photosynthesis.
Observation 2:
The curve for the amount of light absorbed ( absorption spectrum is above the curve for the rate of Photosynthesis ( Action Spectrum).
Explanation: This is because some of the absorbed light is not used in stimulating photosynthesis, it is lost in form of heat energy.
